CCNetwork Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program (R-TAP) Professional Learning Series: Getting Started

The CCNetwork Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program (R-TAP) Professional Learning Series will bring together teams of education and labor leaders considering or implementing R-TAPs as a long-term strategy for strengthening and diversifying the teacher workforce. We are joined by Tennessee’s first-in-the-nation registered apprenticeship program leaders, Jobs for the Future, and others who will provide critical information and resources needed for planning and implementing a high-quality teacher
apprenticeship program. Teams representing state and local education, educator preparation programs, labor agencies, and
others may register for one or more series segments: Getting Started, Designing R-TAPS, and Implementing R-TAPS.

Session 2 - April 19, 2023 @ 3-4:30pm ET

Getting Started
In this two-part series, teams will:
• Hear from senior U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) leadership about R-TAP program essentials
• Be introduced to a tool to assist your planning efforts
• Learn about and discuss
o Building R-TAPs from existing programs
o Analyzing workforce needs to inform R-TAP direction and design
o Roles and responsibilities of partnerships/capacity and the role of sponsors
o Pathways to teaching through R-TAPs
